Creating and using a Delicious account

Creating and using a Delicious account

Delicious is a great site to store and share your favourite websites with like-minded people and your students. Unlike a desktop computer based bookmarking tool where your favourites are stored locally, a Delicious account will allow you access to your favourite websites wherever you are.

  1. Go to Delicious. www.delicious.comExternal Link
  2. Select Join Delicious.
  3. Choose to create an account by email address or with your Facebook/Twitter login details.
    a. Note; using a Facebook/Twitter account will push your bookmarks out to your networks. This may not be appropriate or professional if your Facebook or Twitter account is for personal use.
  4. Complete the fields and upload a picture.
  5. Enter the reCAPTCHA word. If you can't understand the text reload the reCAPTCHA form, by selecting the highlighted icon.
  6. Complete the application by selecting Join Delicious.
  7. Once your account has been created, you can choose to import your tag links from Facebook and Twitter, or just save to your Delicious account by selecting Add link by selecting the link in the top right hand corner.

Saving your favourite website tips.

  1. Locate a website that you would like to save.
  2. Highlight web address by clicking once on the web address in the URL bar.

  5. Paste the URL into the dialogue box that opens.
